Hunter Hayes Receives High Streaming Numbers For “Rescue”
New Track Accumulates Over 1 Million Spotify Streams in a Week
Five-time GRAMMY nominee and US double platinum selling artist Hunter Hayes is continuing to make news with his new song Rescue currently boasting nearly 1.5 million streams since its release. Featured on Spotify “New Music Friday” playlists in 10 different countries, the song is also currently highlighted on their US Viral 50 playlist. Hayes recently shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the accompanying music video with Entertainment Tonight and also went into in-depth detail about the song’s inspiration with The Washington Post.
The track, described as being “reminiscent of Heavier Things-era John Mayer” by Rolling Stone, is a soaring and electric guitar-driven dedication to those that help us make it through when all else seems lost. “For me, Rescue is about people in my life who have shown up at a time I needed them the most but didn’t know,” explains Hayes. “Times when I didn’t have strength and a conversation with a friend gave me strength. Every time I sing it, it’s a release and it’s a relief. I want the fans to hear whatever it is that rescues them whether that be a person, a place or even an experience. We can have so many different kinds of conversations with a song like this and I hope that this starts the dialogue.”
