Announces NATIONAL TOUR

Internationally renowned soprano, MIRUSIA, releases her new studio album “From The Heart” and her third national Australian tour commencing Friday 15th September, 2017.

MIRUSIA came to worldwide recognition over ten years ago as the star soprano of André Rieu’s global concert tours. Today, MIRUSIA is a rising solo artist in her own right with sold out tours across Europe and Australia in 2016 and 2017. Her unique and personal bond that she shares with her fans from all over the world has earned her a place in their hearts, and this album is a dedication to them.

The new album “From The Heart” features a popular collection of songs including You Are So Beautiful, I Could Have Danced All Night, Memory (from Cats), Softly As I Leave You, Besame Mucho, You Raise Me Up performed as a duet with Brazilian soprano Carmen Monarcha and Love Is A Gift (a song by Olivia Newton-John) performed as a duet with Lachlan Gillespie of “The Wiggles” fame. Gillespie, a childhood friend of MIRUSIA, said of the experience of recording with Mirusia, “Mirusia and I are childhood friends from Brisbane and have sung together since we were 16 years old. 15 years later it is an absolute honour to be singing again with the angel of Australia. ‘Love is a Gift’ was one of the first duets we ever performed together and we really hope you enjoy it.”

The album also features an original song, which MIRUSIA wrote for her husband when they moved from Europe to Australia, entitled Journey. The traditional bagpipe classic ‘Highland Cathedral’, with new lyrics written for MIRUSIA, reflects a very personal sentiment of emotions when she sings, and of course her soaring classical voice can be heard in the beautiful operatic aria, ‘La Vergine Degli Angeli’ by Verdi.

Each song on the album is personally chosen by MIRUSIA and reflects the many feelings we can find within our hearts.
