Grammy-nominated R&B collective The Internet have announced details of their March 2019 headline tour, which will see them make their debut at the iconic Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on Wednesday 6 March, before playing at Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Thursday 7 March. The band will also perform at the Melbourne Zoo Twilights series on Sunday 3 March, along with an already-announced appearance at Golden Plains Festival.
Since their Australian visit earlier this year, which took them around the country with the national Laneway Festival and saw them play sold-out headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, the LA-based five-piece has dropped a brand-new record and played to packed rooms across North America. The Internet’s fourth record, ‘HIVE MIND’, is a fresh take on the band’s signature slow grooves, bringing each member’s specific talents and charms together into:
.
“a moreish stew of hazy, swooning R&B that’s practically impossible to resist.” – LINE OF BEST FIT (9/10 stars)

Embraced by fans and critics globally, 2015’s ‘EGO DEATH’ earned a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album. With funk-tinged beats, laced with slinky guitars, evocative keys, and heart-striking lyrics about relationships with women, it cemented The Internet’s status as one of the most exciting new artists of the decade.
Off-shooting from Odd Future, The Internet is at its core a creative collective, blending the impossible charm of frontwoman Syd with the charisma of multi-instrumentalists Steve Lacy, Patrick Paige II and Christopher Smith, all seamlessly tied together into a kaleidoscopic neo-soul journey thanks to the talents of producer Matt Martians. Following the release of ‘EGODEATH‘ each member returned to individual solo projects, leading to the release of five different, uniquely phenomenal solo records in 2017. They couldn’t stay apart for long, though – not when audiences around the world were clamouring to experience ‘HIVE MIND’ translated into a live arena.
