Sydney-via-Tamworth singer songwriter, Charlie Collins, today returns with the glittering, emotive new single ‘Beautifully Blind’. Following her upcoming appearances at Laneway Festival, Charlie will embark on her first headline tour in March, delivering her stunning live show to audiences in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

Charlie Collins is also thrilled to announce her debut album ‘Snowpine’ will be released on May 31st via Mirror Records. The album will be available digitally and on limited edition coloured vinyl, and is available for pre-order now.

A deeply personal track, Charlie explains “‘Beautifully Blind’ is a look at toxic relationships. The song was written with friends who came to the session with this idea of two people tearing each other apart, not knowing that pain was already in my orbit. Our words connected on this tune that shows the contradictory pathetic and poetic faces we use to mask our hurt.”

‘Beautifully Blind’ rings in an exciting year for Charlie Collins, which will see the release of her debut album following appearances at St Jerome’s Laneway Festival, and a headline tour in March.

Last year, debut single ‘Wish You Were Here’ made a big impression, with rotation adds to Triple J, Double J, FBi Radio and Triple J Unearthed. Second release ‘Mexico’ followed suit, scoring adds to Double J, FBi, Unearthed, and a feature on the Triple J Unearthed podcast. The tracks also grabbed attention abroad, picking up spins on KCRW (LA), KCSN (LA), WXPN (Philadelphia) and RADIO X (UK) and finding an abundance of support at Spotify including landing in New Music Friday in Australia, Sweden, and Denmark.

Following appearances at BIGSOUND and the release of ‘Mexico’, Charlie Collins toured nationally with Gang of Youths on their record-breaking sold out ‘Say Yes To Life’ tour, where she was met with rave reviews of her performances.

“The gentler moments balanced well with some stomping rock’n’roll numbers, all showcasing an artist who had no issues with a big stage even though she’s a barely a year into her career,”  mused Pilerats’ Troy Mutton.

STACK Magazine followed suit, remarking Collins delivered “an energetic and captivating opening affair, filled to the brim with powerful vocals, catchy hooks, and a fair share of harmonica melodies.”

During this time Charlie also performed at the band’s self-curated festival, A More Perfect Union, joining the likes of Jack River, Luca Brasi, Thelma Plum, and Publique, and ended the year with an appearance at Fairgrounds Festival.
