“The best music you may have missed and the bright new artists you saw here first – with plenty of diversity to boot: Laneway got it right this year. Let’s hope other festivals follow suit.” – The Sydney Morning Herald
“If you’re heading to the Laneway Festival over the next couple of weekends, you’re going to have a blast.” – triple j
“Once again, St Jerome’s Laneway Festival proved itself to be the envy of summer festivals. A well behaved crowd, an awesome location, a perfect day and an exciting line-up.” – The Music

Over the weekend, Laneway 2019 kicked off in very sunny Brisbane and Sydney. Perfect weather, amazing crowds and some of the best live sets ever made for an incredible start to the tour.
Special mentions go to A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Jorja Smith, Rex Orange County, Clairo, Ravyn Lenae, Masego and Yellow Days who all nailed their first ever Australian performances.
Plus, shout-outs to Courtney Barnett for hopping on stage with Camp Cope, Georgia Maq (Camp Cope) for returning the favour during Courtney’s set, Kianfor jumping up with Baker Boy and of course, Daniel Johns for his triumphant entrance and collab on stage with What So Not.
And, that’s just the tip of the iceberg – Middle Kids, Skegss, Denzel Curry, The Smith Street Band, and co-headliners Gang of Youths absolutely killed it!
The festival continues this weekend in Adelaide, Melbourne and Fremantle. While Laneway returns to Harts Mill in Port Adelaide, the festival takes in a new home this year at Footscray Park in Melbourne and finishes up at Esplanade Reserve and West End in Fremantle. Once again, Laneway Festival will be offering pass-outs in Freo to Bather’s Beach and festival surrounds from 11am – 6pm. Check here for more info.
