If you weren’t already keen enough for the legendary Party In The Paddock lineup (sporting Matt Corby, Hermitude, Dune Rats, Broods, Cosmo’s Midnight, Jack River, Sneaky Sound System and many, many more), February 2020 is set to see even more teammates jumping aboard to help SEND IT at the Paddock for one final bow!

To celebrate their final festival ever, PITP have been playing cupid behind the scenes, helping to organise some magic on-stage collaborations for their additional special guests. Additionally the festival will be bringing back The Big Top (a decadent dance tent & Paddock favourite) in full force and in celebration of Blundstone’s 150th Birthday and with their help, The Blundstone Nostalgia Stage will be born! Please welcome back these special guests & Paddock veterans for the last time!

The Paddock team has also put together a stunningly sentimental video to commemorate the long and eventful life of Tasmania’s favourite boutique music festival. Check it out HERE

In 2020, Party In The Paddock has also teamed up with triple j Unearthed once again to bring even more home-grown talent to the Paddock’s stage. Seeking the best and brightest talent across a huge pool of competition applicants putting their very best tracks forward, triple j Unearthed are looking for an upcoming Tassie act to kick the festival off with a whole lot of local talent. With previous winners including Hurricane Youth, Verticoli and Carl Renshaw, the festival proves an amazing platform for a Tassie act on the rise to showcase their tunes to a huge crowd at one of Australia’s biggest music festivals. The competition closes this week on Sunday January 26th, so get in quick if you think you have what it takes to rock the Paddock stage.

The lucky winner will be joining this year’s line up, sharing the stage with Matt Corby, Hermitude, Dune Rats, Broods and more. Entering is simple; to be in the running, you’ve just gotta be an artist from Tasmania with your best music up on Unearthed (even if it’s still pending!) by January 26th. Cool? Cool. Party? Paddock.

And even better, Party In The Paddock’s festival within a festival, the iconic Vibestown is back with amazing art, hilarious comedy and a multitude of market stalls AND, of course; the notorious Vibestown March! Which has been declared the most colourful, largest and most unorganised conga-line in the southern hemisphere – this an annual spectacle will be back for one last time and for all to join in on – 4:20pm Saturday 8th, Feb.

Starting from 9am onwards each day, you can head down to the Vibestown Stage to catch magical music and pumped up comedy acts! Catch an intimate DJ set and treat yourself to a Bloody Mary at Recovery Sessions, followed by a comedy lineup featuring a host of hilarious local comedians from the gang at Fresh Comedy and those wild-ultra-positive cats via The Alterat The Goods Times Show.

Slam poetry is also back, tackling all of the tough topics, catch all of the beautiful words from Slamduggery! And for those who want to keep it zen can participate in some morning yoga, which will take place each morning from 8am with Yoga with Ash via Vibestown.

But if that isn’t enough for you, Vibestown will also feature a myriad of strangeness and beauty, including: Morning Cocktails & Funk DJs at the Willie Smith’s Bar, The VT Skate Ramp, mechanical bulls, vintage clothing stalls, haircuts/trims, award winning food & local Tassie produce, merch, eco glitter, and loads of Paddock magic!

Let’s do this! For one last time, see you at the Paddock!
