FLINT EASTWOOD (aka. Jax Anderson), following her debut headline Australian tour and performances at Secret Garden Festival, Farmer and The Owl, Mardi Gras and Gaytimes Festival; has taken to the Triple J studio for a very special ‘Like A Version’. Detroit’s Queen-on-the-rise Jax celebrated International Women’s Day by recruiting an all-star group of Aussie female artists; including ARIA Award winner MEGAN WASHINGTON and JEFFE, for the performance of her single ‘Real Love’.

In line with the International Women’s Day #GirlsToTheFront celebrations on Triple J; which highlights the achievements of women by playing music made by women and curated by women across the station; Flint selected a track by female sibling three-piece HAIM; putting a unique spin on their chart topping track ‘I Want You Back’ for her cover.

Harnessing a nascent power, the FLINT EASTWOOD project really started to hum on the release of her ‘Broke Royalty’ EP; featuring singles ‘Queen’ and ‘Real Love’; which ranked in as two of the most played releases on Triple J over 2017 and 2018. Flint made her debut down under appearance at Falls Festival and entered the international festival circuit with appearances at Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.
Released in October, her latest EP ‘This Is A Coping Mechanism for A Broken Heart’; featuring recent hit ‘Chapter 4 Sober (feat. Shortly)’ stirred up worldwide attention for the inspirational vocalist; landing her at the pointy end of many 2018 year-end lists. Born for the stage and studio, Flint kicked things off in her beloved Detroit at the tender age of 12; cutting her teeth in the Motor City’s prominent DIY scene. Flint aims to meld politics, love and life into delirious vocal celebration and intricate production.
