Wollongong’s GOSH haven’t been around long, but have wasted no time in creating hype for themselves and the five-piece indie rock band have recently release their new single “Isle Of Pines.” Following the release of previous track “Honestly”, the band have been creating a very solid foundation for their debut EP, due for release later this year.

.

Premiered via Scenestr, and displaying more of the charming melodic indie rock “Isle Of Pines” is a tale of travelling to foreign lands and never wanted to leave new found simplistic beauty. Hooky, nostalgic and kind of beachy, the story is illustrated with a hypnotic chord progression, and vivid, to-the-point vocal imagery.

“The song just about wrote itself, it kind of just happened! There’s a definite feeling of “less is more” with this one, and without mentioning it to each other, I think we kind of all just felt it. Although it’s still clearly us playing, it takes on a vibe heard nowhere else in the band’s catalogue. Don’t be fooled, the song goes places, and is far from boring but i think there’s quite a craft involved in keeping something simple – it’s almost daring.”  – Matt Harvey (Guitarist)

Along with the release, the band have today premiered a nostalgic, 90s home-style music video via Pilerats. Watch the video for “Isle Of Pines” below!

Dynamic, melodic and emotional – yet still cool, the band follow in the footsteps of indie rockers gone before, and allude to a very promising future for the genre.

Influences like The StrokesInterpolThe KillersGang Of Youths, and The Magic Numbers can be heard throughout the group’s live set, which has clearly already impressed many and has lead to the group playing a number of sold-out shows. To celebrate the release, GOSH will be playing a round of live shows around the east coast.

“Isle Of Pines” is available on all platforms now!

“Think breezy indie rock with a hint of dirty pop that will have you swaying with noodling guitar riffs reminiscent of late ’90s, early ’00s rock and crystal-clear vocals that will have your feet tapping in gleeful unison. Hand me a beer Stella, it’s time to cruise.” – Scenestr

A bit of a breeze blowing here. Not without its charms and a bit of pickup towards the end!” – Dave Ruby Howe, triple j

It all comes together really nicely about halfway through and it’s a coastal winner that rears up signalling either a big storm or a big one down at the local.”  – Declan Byrne, triple j

“Their melodic brand of indie-rock has an earnestness amidst a very polished sound that is instantly likeable” – Pilerats
