Confirmed to perform at BIGSOUND this September and cementing herself firmly in the spotlight with debut single ‘Kissing Boys,’ 21 year-old Sydney artist GRAACE today unveils the effusive visuals for her latest track. It’s been a whirlwind year for the young artist, ‘Numb‘, her 2017 collaboration with Australian producer Hayden James landed #32 on triple j Hottest 100 and hit platinum shortly before her solo release.
A piano ballad with a vibrant production twist, ‘Kissing Boys’ originated from piano chords that GRAACE had been playing for weeks, unexpectedly evolving one night to form the entire single. Directed by Sejon Im and utilising the aesthetic charm of VHS, the nostalgia-coated clip features GRAACE navigating an idyllic day, exploring the vast terrain of an all encompassing romance.
Picked up by Sydney based artist management company Falcona after they discovered her earlier work on triple j Unearthed, GRAACE supported Hayden James on his North American tour late last year. Recently wrapping a run of shows acting as a guest vocalist on Flight Facilities ‘Return Flight’ national tour and Groovin The Moo festival dates, the vivacious singer-songwriter is gearing up for an even bigger year as her global stature continues to rise.
