Multiplatinum recording artist KIIARA makes her highly anticipated 2018 return with her new single Messy. Kiiara’s signature sound returns alongside colorful visuals that find her dancing atop cars and singing to the track’s infectious chorus in the music video. Out now via Atlantic Records and available across digital platforms, Messy was written by Noah Conrad, Jacob Torrey, Sasha Sloan & Roland Spreckly and produced by Noah Conrad. 

“This song is something familiar to so many people,”

says Kiiara.

“It’s about ending it before someone gets hurt. Not getting into a relationship or calling it one because that’s when you start to become emotionally invested. It ends up going nowhere because you’re scared to feel those emotions. Falling for someone is scary and it’s not something you anticipate, it just happens when you least expect it.” 

Messy follows Kiiara’s 2018 Billboard Music Award nomination for Top Rock Song with Heavy, her duet with Linkin Park. Kiiara’s debut single Gold peaked at #5 on the ARIA singles chart and is triple platinum in Australia.
