LIFE IS BETTER BLONDE
Releases Single ‘Easy’
Debut EP ‘Space + Tyres’ Out Now Via Create/Control

“LIFE IS BETTER BLONDE shows off a fragile human side with that plaintive vocal and uneasy piano that goes straight to the pit of your stomach.” – triple j Unearthed

“LIFE IS BETTER BLONDE appeared out of nowhere in a blaze of glitch with the track ‘Mine’. The accompanying video was something very flamboyant, cementing his place as one to watch in the music scene.”- Purple Sneakers

“the artist’s sensuous vocal drip through the track, comparable to a mix between Sam Smith and James Blake… exemplifies beauty in sadness, and the Melbourne artist is definitely one to keep an eye on.”
– Pilerats

Enigmatic Melbourne-based electronic solo artist / producer LIFE IS BETTER BLONDE unveils new single Easy. The track is the latest single to be lifted off his debut EP Space + Tyres which is released today via Create / Control.

Easy  which premiered online via international tastemakers Earmilk is another taste of his own brand of emotive, glitchy and blissed-out RnB soultronica.

“True to fashion as Life is Better Blonde, “Easy”… wonderfully fractured and glitchy production, which allow his harmonious vocals to shine through. With percussion and sound design that seems to chug like a faithful train that keeps going until it reaches its final destination. It builds and turns through new landscapes, navigating textures and grit, a journey to behold.” – Earmilk

The product of lost and re-discovered voice memos, late-night musings and discarded production scraps, LIFE IS BETTER BLONDE appeared suddenly in 2015 with the supremely glitchy contemporary R&B single Mine, accompanied by a fittingly bizarre music video in which a Japanese salaryman moonlights as an electric organ-player at an American-themed bar in Tokyo. Perhaps unsurprisingly this flamboyant entrance to the scene did not go unnoticed by some of the most influential ears in Australian music, picking up a triple j award for video clip of the year.

In March 2017, he returned with a captivating and wonderfully cinematic video clip titled FiresConsumed by a virtual reality set in a reimagined 1950s, a player’s longing for motherhood transcends the rules of the game. The stunning video was directed by Natalie Erika James and Ben Morgan, the team behind his earlier clips Mine and Follow Me.
