Melbourne based producer/songwriter Luboku today delivers ‘Solar Flare’, an intricate and emotive slice of electronica. A track that could just as easily soundtrack an afternoon festival set as an underground club at dawn, ‘Solar Flare’ showcases Luboku’s ability to create swirling soundscapes, crafted into tracks that are both uplifting and melancholic. The release date for ‘Solar Flare’ has been championed in part by people hearing it in Luboku’s live sets and asking for its release.

Reflecting on ‘Solar Flare’, Luboku says:

.

“Over the past few months I’ve made Solar Flare a big part of my live set – linking it to one of my singles from last year, ‘Without You’. After my last few shows I kept getting hit up by fans online asking about this track, so it felt right to put this one out right before my upcoming EP tour (which starts later this month!). Solar Flare feels like the perfect mid- point between what’s come and what’s coming next in the project, while its namesake speaks to the raw, emotive energy I felt when creating it.” – LUBOKU

.

Over the past year, Luboku has quickly risen to become one of the most unique up-and-coming talents Australia possesses. Having introduced himself with a run of stand-out singles and the release of his debut solo EP The Surface in November, Luboku has established a body of work that showcases his versatile approach to songwriting; blending electronic, pop and RnB soundscapes along the way.

Singles from The Surface (EP) have seen support from around the world – with the likes
of XLR8R, Indie Shuffle, EDM.com and This Song Is Sick giving it their tick of approval. 2018 also saw Luboku come into his own as a live force, supporting the likes of Willaris K., What So Not and Petit Biscuit, ahead of making his debut festival appearance at Let Them Eat Cake this January.

Catch Luboku live this month as he sets out on his debut solo tour, beginning in Sydney on January 31, before hitting the NSW Central Coast, Melbourne and Newcastle – celebrating the release of his debut solo EP release The Surface.

About Luboku
Having quickly turned heads with his ‘wonderfully slow burning slice of left-field house music’ (Pilerats) in 2017, Melbourne producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist LUBOKU has risen to prove himself time over as a master of spacey electronica – blending a mix of hypnotic old-school house and experimental club styles into “a truly mesmerising experience” (Stoney Roads).

With the release of his debut solo EP “The Surface”, Luboku is setting out on his first ever solo tour, starting at Sydney’s Golden Age on January 31 before taking in the NSW Central Coast, Melbourne and Newcastle. Following up on a HUGE year, 2018 saw Luboku play a slew of killer live slots in clubs and theatres supporting the likes of Willaris. K, What So Not and French producer, Petit Biscuit. Alongside a steady release cycle of singles including ‘Without You’ a six minute banger of brooding, colorful melodies and dancefloor-ready percussion, the versatile, vulnerable and futuristic dark-techno ode to connection and loss ‘None Of You’ and his uplifting, melancholic masterpiece ‘50 Days’ and debut solo EP “The Surface”.

The triple j Unearthed feature artist has climbed Spotify Australia’s ‘Viral 50’ and claimed a top 40 spot in the Shazam Top 100 chart. Luboku’s singles have featured in Apple Music’s A-List Electronic and Best Of The Week playlists, and has been playlisted to Spotify’s New Music Friday AU&NZ, Topshelf Electronic, Indie Arrivals and Fresh Finds. Half a million streams in, there’s absolutely no signs of Luboku slowing down and will now treat the Southern East Coast to his electrifying live show this summer.
