Dropping the first solo track for Odd Mob, Harry Hope teams up with RnB group Super Silly pushing the production and sound to another level. The new single, ‘No Pressure’ washes away any doubt that the split would affect the signature sound of Odd Mob combining a huge electronic dance hit with the soulful vocals from, Super Silly.
‘No Pressure’ steps into the forefront of musical trends with a huge step up in production, combining progressive dance infused pop drops with the groovy down tempo vocals of Super Silly, a sound that is becoming synonymous among electronic heavy weights such as Calvin Harris and Snakehips.
The collaboration came to fruition after Harry found Super Silly’s track and hearing their vocals knew they would fit perfectly, explaining, “Once I heard Super Silly’s vocals, I knew that we could make a great track and I had those weird time stretched percussions samples that I’d been waiting to use in a track for ages.” Hailing from Dublin, Super Silly are a modern RnB group of four that met through a gospel church becoming experts at fusing soul and pop together. The group described ‘No Pressure’ as a track about letting girls figure themselves out rather than pressuring them to love you.
After reaching the ARIA Club Chart #1 with their single ‘Into You (Feat. Starley)’, which sat at #1 for seven weeks Odd Mob’s success, has never really slowed down with singles ‘Down For Love (Feat. Helen)’, ‘Is It A Banger’ and bass heavy club track ‘Gassed Up’. Consistently being hit up for remixes from some of the biggest names in the game, Harry has remixed for the likes of Motez, A-Trak and Starley with an official remix for Lorde’s ‘Perfect Places’ out soon!
Keep your eyes peeled for some extra news about Odd Mob coming your way including a huge National Tour later this year.
