Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Post Malone ‘Psycho’ – In the same week his second album Beerbongs & Bentleys debuts at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, American rapper Post Malone scores his second chart-topper on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Psycho’. Malone first topped the chart with ‘Rockstar’ in November 2017 (it’s at #12 this week).

Malone has 17 tracks in this week’s Top 50, including 13 debuts (see below). He equals Michael Jackson’s July 2009 record for most tracks in the Top 50 and Ed Sheeran’s March 2017 record for most debuts in one week in the ARIA Top 50.

#4: Post Malone ‘Better Now’ (Debut) – On top of having the #1 single and album on this week’s ARIA Charts, American rapper Post Malone has scored 13 debuts on this week’s Singles Chart. ‘Better Now’ takes out the highest debut at #4 and is followed by ‘Paranoid’ (#10), ‘Ball For Me’ (#14), ‘Spoil My Night’ (#19), ‘Rich & Sad’ (#21), ‘Same Bitches’ (#25), ‘Over Now’ (#27), ‘Stay’ (#30), ‘Zack And Codeine’ (#32), ‘Takin’ Shots’ (#36), ‘Otherside’ (#41), ‘Blame It On Me’ (#43) and ‘92 Explorer’ (#44).

#5: Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa ‘One Kiss’ – Moving up one spot in its fourth week in the Top 50, ‘One Kiss’ hits the Top Five for the first time. It’s Calvin Harris’ seventh Top Five entry and Dua Lipa’s third.

#24: 5 Seconds Of Summer ‘Youngblood’ – In its third week, the title track of 5 Seconds Of Summer’s forthcoming third studio album has moved up two to grab a new peak at #24.

#28: Amy Shark ‘I Said Hi’ – The lead single from Amy Shark’s debut album continues its climb up the chart. It’s moved six places from #34 to #28 in its third week in the Top 50.

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: Post Malone ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’ (Debut) – Post Malone’s second album Beerbongs & Bentleys gives the American rapper his first #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The follow-up to Stoney (#5 Feb. ’18) includes the singles ’Rockstar’ (#1 Nov. ’17) ‘Candy Paint’ (#19 Jan. ’18) and ‘Psycho’ (#1 Mar. ’18), as well as guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, G-Eazy, Ty Dolla Sign and more. As well as the three singles, 13 of the tracks from Beerbongs & Bentleys have debuted on this week’s ARIA Singles Chart.

#2: Keith Urban ‘Graffiti U’ (Debut)– With his tenth studio album, Keith Urban scores a seventh entry in the Top Ten on the ARIA Albums Chart. Graffiti U comes two years on from Ripcord (#1 May ’16) and features the single ‘Parallel Line’ (#47 Jan. ’18).

#3: Missy Higgins ‘Solastalgia’ (Debut)– Missy Higgins returns with Solastalgia. It’s the singer-songwriter’s first album since Oz (#3 Sept. ’14) and the first to feature self-penned material since The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle (#1 Jun. ’12). Recently, Higgins was a support on Ed Sheeran’s Australian tour and is currently playing shows on her own headline tour.

#6: Kasey Chambers & The Fireside Disciples ‘Campfire’ (Debut)– Following on from Dragonfly (#1 Jan.’17), Kasey Chambers releases Campfire. Chambers’ twelfth studio album is co-credited to the group The Fireside Disciples, which consists of her father Bill Chambers, Brandon Dodd of Grizzly Train and Yawuru elder Alan Pigram. The album is the singer-songwriter’s ninth Top Ten on the ARIA Albums Chart.

#7: DMA’s ‘For Now’ (Debut)– Sydney’s DMA’s pick up a new peak on the ARIA Albums Chart with second album For Now. Coming two years on from debut Hills End (#8 Mar. ’16), For Now was produced by The Presets’ Kim Moyes.
