Irish songwriter Honas spent his youth growing up on the rugged coastline of Ireland living his best life speaking the Irish language and playing Gaelic football. Those formative years shaped his musical style which is delivered as poetic little vignettes of indie-folk about the pursuit of adventure, social issues and self-exploration.

He’s quietly making a name for himself with a growing Spotify fanbase and inclusion on Australian radio play. His latest single “Icy Blue”, a poignant raw offering comes bolting out of the gates like an untamed horse. Inspired by a 2021 trip to Canada when Honas’ holiday soundtrack was a playlist of nostalgic 1980s tunes. It sent Honas off on a creative trajectory to write a striking, emotionally charged song that still adhered to his musical roots.
