Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
I have always wanted to be a musician as far back as I can remember I loved music, writing and singing. I was about 5 when I wrote my first song haha, I remember in school that day we were taught simple notation like whole notes and crotchet notes by clapping. I went home that day and started writing what I thought was music and haven’t stopped since!

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think people resonate with your music?
I like to say the Hellz sound is powerful but melodic, new but memorable. It walks the fine line between hard rock and metal. I love to write about surviving. We are all warriors of our own battle here on earth, each of us taking on different fights. Music always brings us all together. It helps evoke emotion. I love that Hellz music helps people gain the energy and feeling of empowerment to get through those hard moments.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
I am a huge fan of Freddie Mercury. Everything about Freddie inspires me. From his captivating stage presence to his ability to write music that connects and means so much to everyone. Growing up, I was incredibly lucky to have a father who was a rock drummer. My father introduced me to the great music of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Queen, Hendrix and so many other amazing and inspirational artists. I love artists that connect with their audience on a deep level.

Your new single has just been released! Describe its origin and evolution.
Control of the unholy is about an epic journey of a world that is waking up to a new reality. There is so much going on in this world right now. The human race is beginning to question everything that has been set in stone for generations. People are feeling confused with leadership, afraid of unknown pathogens, illness and poverty. We live in a world where there is so much false information that everyone isn’t quite sure who to believe anymore.

Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
I am continuing to write a huge amount of music. There will definitely be an album in the future for HELLZ.

Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
I did miss a lot of opportunities in 2020 i wont lie, from opportunities to work on the same stages as rock royalty, tours of the US, festival appearances in New York and some national touring right here in Australia. I have some moments when i feel a Little down but then i remember all i need to do is keep making music. I feel this is a Good time to write. It is also a Good time to gather a strong following online. I am currently working on looking into opportunities to tour in 2021 hopefully all of this 2020 stuff Will settle and i can get on with some touring!
One thing audiences can expect at one of my shows is ENERGY! People will hear exactly what they hear on the radio or in their music streaming software. I use no bells or whistles and never Auto – tune on any of my recordings. Its old school and genuine. I can’t wait to get out there! One time a very nasty person tried to hurt me by saying I stomped around like a wild moose on stage and I thought well Fu*K YEAH I do!!! Isn’t that the point! Hahaha. I don’t hold back on stage ever. It’s a party every time the music starts! I aim to connect with my audience with every note I sing.

.

.

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
FREDDIE!!!! Holy cow he is the god of performance!!

Do you have any long-term aspirations as a music artist?
I really don’t see myself stopping until we reach a massive audience globally. My mantra is that if I think it and believe it and work my ass off, it will happen.
Hellz indeed is looking at a very good future. I plan to continue to write, sing and perform as much as I can until the day I die! I am aiming to tour America and would absolutely love to tour South America and the UK. Hellz has a huge and amazing family of fans in the USA, South America, The UK, and throughout Europe. I really hope I can continue to grow the Hellz name globally. I don’t want to be boring ever! I have so much energy to bring to the world and I cant wait to be on stage!

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
The absolute spontaneous moments, its live its raw! It is so much fun to feel so alive doing what I was born to do. Each moment is golden. The connection between myself and the audience is electric. My favourite moment was being on stage in Australia day celebrations in front of 20,000 people.

HELLZ
Release new single/lyric video
CONTROL OF THE UNHOLY

Hellz recently released the new single CONTROL OF THE UNHOLY which officially hit stores on 17 July 2020. CONTROL OF THE UNHOLY will get audiences ignited with the powerful and addictive energy that Hellz is known for. The single has been co-written by Rock queen and founder of Hellz, Lisa Perry, and Lexx Majik. This new single follows a year of success for Lisa Perry who has recently celebrated an endorsement by the Legendary RØDE microphones. Perry has also taken number 1 on the South African iTunes Rock Charts with her February hard rock release Fire To The Sky and most recent successful release Bitch Ran Away in June 2020, both co-written with Gorka Alegre  (Death Keepers/ZhenX). The single is still in radio rotation worldwide. Bitch Ran Away also gained Lisa a nomination in the 2020 World Songwriters Awards in the Rock Category. 2020 has definitely been a busy year for Lisa Perry and she isn’t slowing down as she prepares to wow audiences again with today’s release.

CONTROL OF THE UNHOLY is available on all major music platforms worldwide: HERE

The new single brings more of the ballsy attitude people love from Hellz and has a strong message to share:

“We are in the dawn of a revolution. We are the front line of a very new reality. When I was in the studio writing the lyrics and laying down the vocals to this song, I felt propelled by the spirits and emotions of the unjustifiable fallen souls in this world and everyone still battling life as we now know it,” says Lisa. “This song is the voice of the people and its time the people were heard. There is a lot of raw emotion, conspiracy, anger, sadness, and uncertainty in this world at the moment. I feel we the people need a song to relate to about the way we feel.” She further states: “People are looking for direction but in reality, no one really knows where we are headed. I hope the lyrics and emotion of this song grips everyone’s hearts around the world.”
