About LIZZIE HOSKING

Adelaide Singer Lizzie Hosking is a powerhouse vocalist with catchy melodies and fun story-telling. Lizzie Hosking grew up in the North of Adelaide pursuing her love of music through singing covers and performing every chance she got. Later in life Lizzie has found her love for song-writing and storytelling. Constantly uploading content to places like TikTok and Instagram Lizzie strives to help her friends and followers realise their worth and importance through self-love hidden between the lyrics of Lizzie’s pop tunes.

Lizzie has started 2023 with the release of her song ‘Stress You Out’ which has garnered over 30,000 streams on Spotify and global press. In addition Lizzie has been showcasing her talent live in Adelaide which always brings a crowd that’s ready to chant back lyrics and dance the night away.

Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
I’ve always wanted to be a musician, performing is my passion and has been since I was three, I would do song and dance numbers for my parents and force my sister to participate. I started getting the songwriting bug when I was around 18, learning how to write music and express myself opened up a new world for me and I’ve loved it ever since.

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think people resonate with your music?
I am a very hard hitting lyricist, I think sometimes my lyrics can be quite personalized however, I know so many people have gone through similar situations to me so I think people enjoy my story telling. I also think my music is of the up-beat, pop sphere and a lot of people can sing along to my songs.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today? 
Freddie Mercury will always inspire me as a performer, Radio Gaga always pulls me out of a hard place and I think I get a lot of my confidence on stage from watching him.

Your new Single ‘Energy’ has just been released! Describe its origin and evolution. 
Energy is a song I wrote recently about being attracted towards someone and not knowing who they are, feeling that they are attracted to you to and wondering what is going to come of it. This song started off as a pop/rock song and has turned into an almost disco, hyperpop tune.

Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
I am currently working on a Christmas EP and have an album of originals currently in the works!

Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
I am performing at the Unibar in Adelaide in August and will be performing at a few other gigs throughout the remainder of the year.

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why? 
Freddie Mercury, just the energy would be insane, I feel like I would learn so much.

Do you have any long-term aspirations as a music artist? 
I want to perform my songs in front of people and have them sing my songs back to me, that is my favourite part of performing. Doing that on a large scale is my dream.

What’s been the career highlight so far?
I recently performed a gig which was so much fun, the crowd sang my lyrics back to me and I got to perform energy. This was one of my favourite moments as an artist.
