How did the two of you come together musically? Is one of you the “driving force”, or do you both make decisions together? 
We honestly contribute 50/50 into Mister Co.
Oscar being a multi instrumentalist is the mastermind behind most of the music, Connor having years of experience as a producer will come in to create the melodies and focus on making certain hooks and parts pop.
Together we are able to accomplish the sound you now hear for Mister Co.

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think fans resonate with your music?
Our sound is incredibly genre fluid, we have released genres from Pop Rock, Pop Soul, Nu DIsco and Rock Alternative. We feel our audience loves following an artist who is not genre limited.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today? 
We have been heavily influenced by artists like Prince, Allen Stone,and Matchbox Twenty but seeing Beyonce live was a moment that made us want to continue getting on stage.

Your new single ‘Better Live’ featuring Lia Magu has just been released! Describe its origin and evolution.  Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
We actually wrote Better Lives as a ballad originally, but nearly binned the song because we weren’t connecting with it. One night after a few drinks we reopened the session, made the track faster and fell in love with it. Once we decided to go down the synth pop / nu disco path we knew we needed another voice on the track with absolute power, so we contacted Lia.
Better Lives is going to be a track on our upcoming debut album “On This Journey” coming out on May the 4th, 2024.

Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
We are ending the year with two really special gigs, one is performing at the RSOM End of Year Awards and we are joining the lineup for the Breaking Sound event on December the 13th at The Night Cat.

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why? 
Allen Stone would be an absolute dream, his music and presence is something we aspire too, we have seen him play in Melbourne twice and both times we have been blown away.

What are your long-term aspirations as a music artist and how are you progressing towards them?
When we started out our goal was to release the song we wrote for our wedding day and that was about it, now we are about to finish our debut album and are so humbled that we have come this far. For now we are focusing on getting the album out and to land some festival spots and see what opportunities continue to come our way.

With that in mind, what piece of advice would you give to an artist starting out? 
Work hard, never give up and always say yes to opportunities that will help advance your career and provide further exposure.

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
Seeing the audience react and enjoy your own music is seriously so rewarding, also watching people just be present and take a break from the craziness in the world at the moment.
