Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
Ever since I can remember! I have always found music to be something that resonated so deeply for me that I can’t really imagine my life without it. Although, I only started to write songs when I was maybe 15? Then I really caught ‘the bug’ and its snowballed to where I am today!

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think fans resonate with your music?
It’s often hard to describe your own sound, mainly I think because so many different influences and ideas have gone into the process of making it that it’s difficult to boil it down… If pushed I usually will call it ‘Alternative Pop’,with maybe some ‘Rock’ thrown in! I just hope it will speak for itself, and really feel it’s up to my audience to describe!

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
Pink Floyd would be my pick! I think they have influenced my structure of writing the most! I think they might be one of the most musically brilliant bands in history and I strive to recreate some of the atmosphere they pioneered! There are so many influences that go into making a record, so to name a few others: John Mayer, Queen, Matt Corby, Elton John, Hozier!

Your new debut album ‘The World Has Gone Mad’ has just been released! Describe its origin and evolution.
The conception of the album was during the 2020 pandemic.. Where in isolation I did really feel ‘The World Had Gone Mad’. From there it sort of became a social commentary of a 19 year olds view on the world! Hard to put any weight behind that I know haha! But I think it’s quite raw and a time capsule of how I felt at the time, and I am sure there are others out there going through those same feelings, so this album is for them!

What are the signature tracks? Which track is your favorite?
There is a track, half-ish way through the record called ‘Alien’ and I think it’s the one I am most proud of when I listen back!! Lyrically it’s very metaphorical, and musically it just all came together and created an AWESOME sound!

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
I’d love to play with Chet Faker (being an aussie artist helps haha!), I think that would be so much fun on stage and we would mesh really well musically!

What are your long-term aspirations as a music artist and how are you progressing towards them?
I mean every musician strives for greatness I think, to create something bigger than themselves. Not in an egotistical way, more from a place of vulnerability. I think we all want to make the world a better place, entertainment being our outlet, which is so important in my opinion! So one day, I want to be in a position to share music with as many people as possible, maybe become that next ‘household name’!

With that in mind, what piece of advice would you give to an artist starting out?
Write write write! There is no point being a brilliant stage act or musician or performer if you don’t have something to share! Find something that means a lot to you and stick with it, because if you feel strongly about something, I guarantee there are people out there that feel the same, and that’s your audience! But crucially, write for yourself, not for others! That’s where the fun is!

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
Connection, and a real feeling of being together! When one person can entertain many, then EVERYONE can feel as one, and I think that’s something we really are lacking in today’s world..
