Fresh from winning the WAM Award for Best Punk/Hardcore act overnight, Sly Withers are keeping the good times rolling today with the release of a new video for their track, ‘Good Days, Bad Days.’

The video captures the raucousness that has been the last 12 months for the Perth four-piece, who have grown from being hometown heroes into national stars off the back of their Gravis EP (out now via Dew Process). The video was directed by Tim Elphick (who previously directed the band’s clip for Sad Guy’) and traces their adventures on and off stage, with their larrikin charm and electrifying live performance skills on full display.

“We’ve always wanted to do a ‘tour video,’” explains Sly Withers co-frontman Sam Blitvich, “but with this track’s themes centring around not feeling so great all the time – we decided we wanted to try and show a different side of the touring that we’ve been doing petty consistently for the last year. We took our mate Tim along with us on a run of shows we did in the south west of WA this winter, and I think he managed to capture that other side: the hours of driving, the waiting, sneaking in a surf if the boys can – and finally some really fun times on stage.”

The band is also in the midst of supporting pop music powerhouse Amy Shark on her completely sold out national tour. Shark has been bringing the band to regional centres and cities around the country and introducing her adoring fans to Sly Withers’ vibrant brand of indie punk, with only a handful of dates remaining in Wodonga, Geelong and a three-night run in Hobart.

Sly Withers are then poised to remain on the road post their Amy Shark run, as they continue on their own, national, headline Gravis EP tour throughout November. After a huge show at Stay Gold in Melbourne last night, the tour resumes in Brisbane on November 9 at The Foundry. Full details below.
