The Amity Affliction have released their widely anticipated new LP Misery today on Roadrunner Records.

Bassist and vocalist Ahren Stringer says of the album:

“It’s hard to describe how excited we are for everyone to finally hear this record. We started writing Misery two years ago and have put everything we possibly had into it. I personally have never been more proud of anything in my life and I’m so happy to now share it with all of you.” – AHREN STRINGER

Misery is highlighted by the gripping singlesIvy (Doomsday)’ and Feels Like I’m Dying’, the cinematic videos for which mark the first two chapters of a three-part short film written and co-directed by frontman Joel Birch.

Having just completed a U.S. tour on the milestone final Vans Warped Tour 2018, The Amity Affliction are set to head to Europe for a fall headline tour slated for stops in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Norway, and Belgium. In Australia, the band will complete instore signings in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth week of release to sign copies of Misery for fans.

Recorded earlier this year in Baltimore with producer Matt Squire (Panic! At The Disco, Ariana Grande, Underoath), Misery is the long-awaited follow-up to The Amity Affliction’s acclaimed fifth studio album, This Could Be Heartbreak, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA chart and is certified gold. That album also entered the top 30 on the U.S. SoundScan/Billboard 200 chart and was The Amity Affliction’s third consecutive time topping the ARIA Album Chart. 2014’s Let The Ocean Take Me and 2012’s Chasing Ghosts also debuted in the top spot with Platinum and Gold certifications respectively. More recently, the band released Seems Like Forever, the #1 ARIA gold certified documentary chronicling The Amity Affliction’s history up through their epic Let The Ocean Take Me World Tour, which saw the band performing in front of sold-out crowds around the globe, including shows at New York City’s Irving Plaza and London’s KOKO.

The Amity Affliction is Joel Birch (vocals), Ahren Stringer (bass, vocals) and Dan Brown (guitar).
