Former international break dancer turned celebrated house producer Wongo has announced his IM THE DJ tour, kicking off this Autumn in his native Australia before heading to New Zealand and North America. Not forgetting his solid breakdancing roots, Wongo will be bringing his competitive b-boy spirit to the tour and challenging his audience at shows to break dancing battles, with plenty of prices up for grabs. #THECALLOUT has begun.
The tour takes place ahead of upcoming release Caught Up with She Koro, set to release in September. This follows an epic few months with the release of hip-hop-hybrid Tic Toc with Blak Trash, which has reached #2 on the Aria Club Chart. In true funny-man style, Wongo has shared #THECALLOUT video on his equally entertaining Instagram feed explaining:
“If you can call me out in a night club between now and December, if you can beat me in a break dance battle you will win free shit. All I wanna do is see you bust a move, shake it down and beat me. And if you don’t win, I’m gonna block you on Twitter. Let the games begin!”

Along with his five time breakdancing skill and b-boy attire, expect Wongo’s tour to also bring his signature style of mesmerizing house, rumbling bass and genre defying flair that puts Wongo on the map beyond the gold coast. Having played big name festivals like EDC Las Vegas and shows around the US whilst picking up nods of approval from dance music heavyweights like Claude Vonstroke, Justin Martin, Martin Solveig and Fisher, it’s clear Wongo’s humorous persona paired with an ear for dance weapons has reached global appeal.
